Lessons include mastering the basics, reading tabs or notation, exploring alternate tunings, rhythm and lead playing, practical theory, improving your technique, songwriting and demoing, or playing songs of your choosing in the style of your choice (including but not limited to Rock, Pop, Metal, Acoustic, Electric Punk, Alternative, Grunge, Classic Rock, Country, and Blues).

About us:

 

Peter Mengede is a Brisbane based guitar teacher with over 30 years international playing writing and recording experience.

 

Peter is a founding member of  the influential U.S. bands Helmet and Handsome with co-writing recording and co-production credits with New York's KRS One.

A founding Member of New York bands Helmet and Handsome, Peter is a multiple Recording Industry Association of America Gold Record award recipient earning gold records for  Helmet's "Meantime" and KRS One's "I Got Next" (with a spare Grammy nomination for Helmet).

 

Peter's international tour credits include sharing the stage with artists including Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine, Ministry, Sepultura, Faith No More, Deftones, Silverchair, Tool, Girls Against Boys, The Descendents, Corrosion of Conformity, L7, Melvins, The Jesus Lizard,  and more.

 

 

In addition to real-world experience, Peter holds a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Hons), Dip Ed, Cert IV Training and Assessment, and is a Working with Children Blue Card holder).
